Our club hasn't got a cool animal as a "mascot". I think we should pick a mascot and have a logo with the mascot putting or driving. My vote is for the most majestic of all beasts:

The Aardvark, or "Earth Pig"

When I did a GIS for "aardvark," I got hits on the blue ant eater from Pink Panther. Anyone remember him?

He might be kinda fun to have as our mascot....

EDIT - believe it or not, the actual character was an aardvark. The short cartoons during Pink Panther were actually called The Ant and the Aardvark.

COME ON PEOPLE

from deadly weapon of destruction to cuddly earth pig creature?

you all need to get back on board with the martial arts, world dominating, secret society of trained killers that are ninja.

little known fact: I shot 14 under at the ice bowl second round... didn't see or hear me? exactly. NINJA POWERS

what do you think an aardvark is good for? basically shirkin practice, bow staff target or smoke bomb materials.

If the club goes away from the ninja theme I can't imagine the toll that the ninja community would exact for such an insult. you have been warned.
Pocatello would be overrun with black suited knights of the underworld that rain down terror on the unbelieving. Not even an army of samurai, navy seals and chuck norris could hold back the tide of pain and gore.

just think about what you are doing here. now that the ninja are involved this road can only lead one way.

ninja out.

Hey! Maybe you can wear some bright colored running shorts with a stripe down the side and knee high socks with those headbands!

Oh, and don't forget your hightops! They are making a comeback.

At this point, I am glad I moved.

How about a blue ant eater dressed like a ninja? That guy would look awesome in a black jump suit.

If you want this thread to be more constructive, you'd better propose an idea soon. Otherwise, you're going to have a blue ant eater in a black jumpsuit putting in a flying dragon kick pose on your awesome headband.

That's it. I'm making some nunchucks out of trash discs. Since I only play with 3-4 discs I've got plenty of room in my bag for ninja weapons. I will attack any other ninjaz I see out on the course (Lance).

While we're at it... How about some disc golf "dodge ball."
This could add a whole new element to the old Buzz vs. Roc battle.

Go with disc golfing ninjas.

Okay, let's get constructive. So "ninja" is popular (I say this because I keep looking over my shoulder). I don't know about you guys, but when I'm on the courses, the one animal I see the most, besides Cowan, is the rabbit. So...ninja...rabbit...

Usagi Yojimbo (I know at least Matt is with me here)

Here's some pics:

Here's a wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usagi_Yojimbo

He's trademarked, so I'm not sure we can "officially" use him.

I like the idea of embroidered arm/wrist sweat bands, not the headbands so much. Could look slick on a hat and/or shirt, too.

What says ye? Someone else make some suggestions.

Just to be clear:

I don't actually care about the club logo in the least.
I did enjoy the debate a bit, have fun whoever wants to actually put effort into it.

I'd like to echo Lance's point. My vote is for whatever the logo ends up being.
