Anyone interested in a Winter League? I'm thinking Saturday mornings (10:00am ish) at one of the two park courses in Poky. we'd set up a rotating schedule Ross one week, Sister City the next, etc. We may even migrate up north to Blackfoot and IF if there is interest.
This would be very informal. No handicaps, no overall standings. Just show up with whatever we decide to charge for the day, and play.
It'd be a no excuses league, meaning weather is not a valid reason to cancel league. I know Boise and NUDGA do winter leagues.
If anyone thinks that'd be fun, post here and maybe we can get something rolling. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

I could make it out for some Saturday rounds. I would prefer to stay off of the Sister City back 9 when the snow comes becuase i don't want any of my discs vanishing in snow banks.
I think this is a good idea. I know that i'm going to play a couple of the boise winter series events this year starting with the Arm Buster Turkey Shoot on November 21st |

Alright. I made up a schedule of courses we can go to for the winter months and meet for a round. This is simply a standing meeting time for anyone who wants to show up and play. No season-long standings, no awards. Just plain old disc golf with or without money on the line. I posted the schedule here at the link on the top menu. Check it out.
This Saturday is Ross Park at 10am. Anyone who wants to play can come. Optional $5 buy-in.
As part of the informality of this "league", I thought it'd be cool to decide on a format for play when we get to the course each time. Anyone up for some "Best disc" random draw doubles at Ross this Saturday? _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

I have the young prodigy - Anthony Wulf, in one of my classes this trimester. Check out if first ever tournament in the last Halloween Haunt.
He and I were talking about playing a round with the winter league folks. It is a "?" weekend on the schedule. I would be more likely to be able to play if we played local? Is there interest in playing? Is anyone else planning on playing this Saturday? Did the last two weeks go? (Chance, Noah, and I had a ago the first week.) If so where would you like to play?
I don't know yet but C. Wolf may have to look out for the A. Wolf.
Gives new meaning to "Hungry like a wolf" doesn't it?
