Hello My Disc Golfing Friends,
I just thought I would let you all know that I finally got my first ace , on a basket no less (not all courses in Montana have baskets yet, some people still play folf here ). I don't know if any of you are familiar with Blue Mountain in Missoula, MT, but that is now my home course. Randy N. probably knows which hole I'm talking about. I got my ace on hole #5 from the blue (long) tee box. I threw a nice little ani. with a DX Roc . I don't normally throw Rocs but my bag of discs was in my wife's car and she was out of town , so I decided to throw the Roc -- I actually found it at Bengal Ridge last spring too. I have actually been throwing Rocs while practicing recently and had even put an old KC Pro 11x Roc in my bag because I was starting to take a liking to it. I think I may swap if for the DX Roc now. I am slowly starting to come around on Rocs. It only took 3.5 years of play to start to like Rocs. It's amazing what a little practice and an ace can do to ones mindset.
I hope all is well in the Pocatello disc golf world.

My brother Paul Litchfield that lives here in Pocatello finally got his first ace after 12 long years. We were home in CA around thanksgiving and we went to play a round at Condon Park in Grass Valley. We stopped at the local store to by a couple of beers and on a whim he bought a champion firebird. He aced hole 8 that day at condon park with a sweet ani through a lot of trees (with that new firebird).
It was really cool because we were playing through a family of people that hadn't ever really played before. I shot second with my champion firebird and hit the bottom of the pole on the basket with almost the same exact throw. it goes without saying the people were pretty impressed. Now all three Litchfield brothers have aces. |
