what time do leagues start?
The events calender say 6pm
and this posting says 6:30pm.

I am assuming everyone needs to show up at 6 and it
starts at 6:30?

The forecast for tomorrow doesn't look good. RAIN !!!
Guess we will wait and see what tomarrow is like by evening.
I would hate to drive 1.5 hrs just to have it rain on us.
DANG !!!
I am so excited to start playing. I have been waiting all winter.

Wow, all the way from Twin Falls? I hope its all you dreamed evening league to be. If you don't make it tomorrow night, consider the Lake Walcott Monthly this weekend. Its a nice low key short event that is much much closer to you.

Also, if you do come to league, you won't have a handicap the first week cause we don't have a verifiable score. For those first weekers who don't have a good shot of beating the pro men in the group, we don't make you pay the first week if you don't want to.

Leagues are never cancelled due to weather.
Women cancel due to weather. haha

Yeah all the way from Twin Falls. I know that is a little extreme but I can't find leagues here in Twin or Buhl as of yet and I would really like to play a round with someone who know what they are doing or at least pretends to know.

They were suppose to tear down our home course last week because of to many disc golfers jumping neighbors fences and climbing on roofs. I don't know any DGers here so I am not quite sure how to connect with them now that there isn't a course to hang out on.

What am I dreaming a league 1.5 hrs away will be like?
I just want to come and play!!!
Actually I would like to try some tournaments really soon but concidering I have only practiced in my backyard WELL, I would really like to learn a little more about the game first.
So the quicker I can find someone to play a round with the quicker I can sign up for a tournament.

Hopefully that explains why a nut like me would drive 1.5 hr to a league
Laughing

I will be there tonight if the weather holds outs.
If not, well there is always next week

I hadn't heard about the twin course going out. are they moving it or just getting rid? someone else could use those baskets for sure if they are going to scrap it. the twin park was a little small for the course, but some redesign could probably have eliminated a lot of the conflicts. a lot of holes were VERY close to neighbors. I doubt a ton of thought went into it.

As far as tournaments the montly club tournaments are an excellent option to learn the rules, learn the system and meet people without getting too deep. no one is going to give you a hard time for asking questions or trying something out. After all you will be only 1 of 2 or 3 women (maybe 5 if things align) so how much of a problem could it be?

Mindy will be at the walcott monthly if the weather holds. She can help you OB (out of bounds), minis, trees, lost discs etc.

Walcott is a nice park with easy terrain and few opportunites to really get a huge score on a hole.

The city of Twin falls just approved a new course. Probably will be installed this summer. I'm not sure where, Garreth Trappen was the driving force behind this one.

mindy is finally out of school on wed nights!
but this week we have a soccer game from 6:30-7:30
I guess that is good news for a lot of you that end up buying me dinner. My handicap is padded enough now that I think the only word I could describe me performance from here on out is "dominating". I predict that a Clark will take home cash at least three times a month from now on. And I am predicting mindy taking handicap top spot three times this year. I further predict that she will place in RAW at least once. that's right- raw. she's got a mean forehand, and her backahnd is going nicely now too. She is getting her own account to refute some of my claims, but she picked her username already: "the weapon".

If anyone reads this before league PLEASE don't let Brandon start early. I will be at league tonight but i have to do something for my girlfriend and might show up right at 6:30pm or a minute late. I'm going to try my best to make it on time.

The weather was frightful this week. It looks like it scared quite a few away from league. We had 5 this week, but it was still alot of fun. The wind provided some pretty dramatic shots with two drive ending up accross 4th street. James had an amazing shot on hole 12 (long hole 3) with a 200 foot birdie shot! WOW! Here are the results.

Current Ace Pot: $42

Jimmy John's CTP Winner: Drew Nielsen about 15 feet away on hole 8 (and yes, nobody came close on the long tee)

Raw Division

1. James Litchfield......................52 ($9)
2. Drew Nielsen..........................55 ($5)
3. Brandon Merzlock...................56
4. Casey Kemmerer....................63
5. Mike Nielsen...........................65

Handicapped Division

1. James Litchfield......................56.12 ($13)
2. Drew Nielsen..........................56.62 ($8 )
3. Casey Kemmerer...................57.18
4. Brandon Merzlock...................57.21
5. Mike Nielsen...........................58.21

Overall standings and league stats are also posted at the course on the Friday following each league.

this is the last week of soccer and I can't miss my final game. Is it still OK to trash talk about how much of your money I WOULD have won?

also, mindy has a final at 6.

No, because this falls under the "can't back it up" rule under trash talking association of america rule # 801.3g.

...and you guys left your portable dvd player in my truck and I haven't been able to get it back to you since you don't show up..

We had 8 show up for league this week and the course was very busy as well. Lots of great shots and birdie streaks, but it was the Caleb Wolfe show tonight, breaking a league record. Casey Kemmerer was the first to birdie the long version of hole #8 with a wicked overhand! We will see you all next week. Don't forget that the Bengal Ridge Evening League starts this Tuesday as well! Here are the results

Current Ace Pot: $50

Jimmy John's CTP Winner: Three players were within 3 feet of each other (distance wise), but James came away with it on hole #9 on the alt tee pad about 25-30 feet away.

Raw Division

1. Caleb Wolfe..........................46 ($8.00)
2. James Litchfield.....................49 ($5.00)
3. Drew Nielsen.........................52 ($3.00)
4. Brandon Merzlock..................54 ($2.00)
5. Mike Nielsen..........................58
6. Brad Merzlock........................59
7. Casey Kemmerer...................61
7. Mark Lansang........................61

Handicapped Division

1. Mike Nielsen..........................50.24 ($11.00)
2. Caleb Wolfe...........................50.37 ($7.00)
3. James Litchfield.....................52.69 ($5.00)
4. Drew Nielsen.........................52.97 ($3.00)
5. Casey Kemmerer...................53.72
6. Brandon Merzlock...................54.58
7. Brad Merzlock........................55.60
8. Mark Lansang........................59.71
