I wanted to let everyone know that I have sanctioned the PVDG Challenge for June 30, 2007. This will be two rounds at bengal. I will make sure that we have water layed throughout the course for refilling of water bottles. The website is almost complete, so be I will post the link when it is ready. Advanced registration will be available.
The website is going to be PVDGC.com so it should be pretty easy to remember for you frequenters of these forums.
More information will be available on the website. _________________ See you on the course!

I will be posting information about the tournament here on this specific topic.
I know I have mentioned it in other places, but I will try to put tourny related info in here.
the website is now available and it is
http://www.PVDGC.com
I am goiong to try to incorporate as much as the advice as I can in relation to the other forum topics. I am still working on an official flyer to post at the different parks, but I hope to have that done shortly.
If anyone is interested in sponsoring a hole, it would be appreciated. I am going to try to get 18 hole sponsors at $25 dollars each. I haven't gone to the local businesses yet, but will be here shortly. I am going to try to get the event on the community calendar and also see if the journal would be interested in doing a story posting the results of the tournament.
Keep in mind that this is a C-tier so you are able to get points and ratings if you are a PDGA member.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Caleb _________________ See you on the course!

I did a post on the Garden City Flyers website announcing this tournament, I included a link to this forum topic here as well. I also submitted it to the administration to be put on the events calander. I hope some of my Missoula club-mates will make the trip down there for this one. Feel free to jump on our website and add to my post.

Will the girls throw from the A or B tees at the Bengal Ridge Tournament?

I have never seen a tournament where the women play from different tees than the men, so my plan is to have them play from the A tees. If all the women are unanimous in wanting to play from the shorter tees, I may consider it.

If the ladies played from different tees wouldn't that make it so they wouldn't get a player rating? Unless they had enough female propagators then I don't think a rating could happen.
Not exactly sure how the whole propagation thing works though. All I know is I'm a 'gator _________________ ScottW

Well, we are a week away from the big day and everything is looking good. Here is a link for the registered players thus far.
http://www.pdga.com/tournament/tournament_results.php?TournID=6919
We have ten registered so far and 5 of them are from out of town. I wish I could say that it was full and that it is to late to get registered, but we obviously should have plenty of room. Pre-registering is recommended as it makes everything run smoother.
I do need some volunteers for the day of the tournament. If you are available for something please let me know and I will give assignments. They won't be anything big, but would help out a ton.
Please ask any questions here and start hoping for an overcast day.
Any questions? _________________ See you on the course!

Send in your money now. Running a tourney can be stressful and knowing more info ahead of time is really nice. the more pre-reg there is the better off everyone is.
for instance I know zach bennett moved up to advanced so i don't have to see his ridiculous turbo putt any more. Then again I know I could out drive him at bengal.....and finally beat him....
Just send Caleb Money. It is worth it. If you pre-reg you will be less liley to find something else to do, like family reunions. _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.

I did a few posts on the Garden City Flyers website for you to try to recruit some Missoula guys down there for this but I am not sure if it will work. We'll see. I hope some GCFers go down to represent. Still wish I could make this one, good luck to all. _________________ ScottW

Does anyone have some coolers I could use for water . I would be able to pick it up tomorrow night. I would prefer the 5 gallon water jugs, but a regular cooler would work as well.
