So there has been some conversation on a jump putt being illegal. While I am not trying to single the person out or wanting to attack this person by any means. I can't speak for the situation they were talking about it might have been illegal I don't know I wasn't there. I just can't shake the feeling that people are thinking this style of jump putting is illegal when it is legal.

Here are some links to some of the top pros jump putting like that without other pros calling them on a foot fault.

This last one is not a top pro but an example

I'm not going to lie I'm one of the skeptics here. I watched all of those videos and the last Dave Feldberg one is a very close call but i cant tell doing a slow mo. And just because no one called him on it at the time doesnt mean it wasnt still illegal. I did a slo mo of the last one and it is barely legal, but legal is legal. The disc was no longer touching his hand as his heel his the blades of grass so very very very close. Not every jump putt done this way is illegal but there is someone in the club who could work on it a bit to make his odds less likely for it to be illegal. Ive watched that person do both legal and illegal jump putts and i wont adopt that style because it is way too 50/50.
