We are progressing on the Soda Springs Fling and have some updates. First, the city of Soda is being very supportive of this event and they are working on getting the course groomed nicely for the event. Second, we have got a couple of big sponsors throwing in some prizes, and we are working on getting some more.
The big thing will be that we are going to provide lunch for all entrants as part of their player's pack. In other words, we can all eat at the course and won;t have to worry about finding food in Soda. this should help get the second round started earlier and provide folks with rest during the lunch break.
If you're on the fence about this one, you should come, if not just to play the Soda course, which is awesome.
Don't forget about the fundraiser event at Bengal on July 9th. see you out there _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

OK, here are the details as I know them today for this event:
Art Kelley Park Disc Golf Course, Soda Springs, ID
July 23rd, PDGA C-tier
Registration opens a 8am, player's meeting at 8:45am
First Round tee-off after player's meeting, aiming for 9am
Lunch will be provided with each entry fee
Second Round to start by 1pm
Awards to follow, hope to be on our way home by 5pm
Entry fees are on the link earlier in this thread.
Every entrant will get a modest player's pack (not t-shirts) and free lunch.
The City of Soda is working on possible overnight camping at the park for Friday night, more to come when I find out.
Got some pretty good sponsors with some good schwag thrown in. If anyone wants to throw some cash our way as sponsorship, let me know and we can make arrangements.
Hope ya'll can make it, it's gonna be awesom this year. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

With the lunch being provided, we are seeing if anyone would be interested in donating a bag of chips or two. If you want to bring a bag of chips to share, please let me know on this forum or by email so we can plan accordingly. We're gonna have hot dogs on the BBQ for lunch, so come hungry. Thanks. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

I talked to Kason in Soda, and he told me that the City of Soda has approved overnight camping in Art Kelley Park just like last year. Spread the word.
Also, Mark Lansang has added a hole sponsorship. Thanks Mark. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |
