I got an email from the Soda Parks rep putting this event on, asking us to publicize this event for them and get as many of us down to Soda for this event as possible. I will not be able to make it, but I'd like to let everyone know when it is going to happen.

January 15th at Art Kelly Park.

This'd be a great warm up event for the SE Idaho Ice Bowl.

I think the entry fee is around $20 and food, but I'll let you know when I get more details.

Join us for the Inaugural Ice Bowl disc golf tournament!

What:

A disc golf tournament to benefit the Caribou County Community Food Bank.

Cost:

$20 in advance, $25 on the day of the tournament, plus one food item per person to enter. Space is limited so register early! Resister online with a credit card by clicking the 'Register' button above. If you would like to pay by check, please contact Ed at 208-547-0400 for information.

You Get:

18 holes of disc golf, goody bag(!), chili, hot chocolate, cookies.

When:

Saturday, January 15, 2011.

Registraion starts at 11:00, Tournament starts at 12:00

Kelly Park Disc Golf Course. Soda Springs, Idaho. Click 'Map' for directions.

Format

The competition will be a two-man scramble. You choose your own team-mate. If you don't have someone to team up with, let us know and we'll find someone for you. There will be three classes you can enter:
- Pro: If you've competed before, or want a more challenging class.
- Sportsman: If you've played more than a few times, but haven't competed.
- Beginner: If you havn't played much. We want newbies to feel comfortable joining the tournament.

Prizes:

First and second place will get cash prizes. The amount will be determined by the number of entries. The next few places will receive prizes donated by our sponors. The cash amounts and the prize values won't be huge, since this is a charity event. We just hope you'll plan on helping the cause and having a fun time, and if you happen to go home with a prize or cash, it's a nice bonus.

Ok me and Sam are going to be going to this and we are going to be activating our wonder twin powers to beat the likes of evil that we come up against (so bring it is what I'm saying).

I was thinking about going. I just need a partner and wasn't sure what division to go into cause im not good enough to play in the pro division but didnt know who was all going and what division they were going into.
