There has been a rash of complaints lately from community members at sister city park about disc golfers.
Alcohol is not allowed in city parks. Dogs must be leashed. Parking is in designated areas.
If someone is in the way do not endanger them. Skip the hole.
The parks guys are seriously looking at moving/deleting holes if golfers continue to flaunt the rules.
In addition both the parks guys and myself are going to be asking the police department to make regular patrols specifically looking for open containers and dogs at large.
Animal control is already heading up there regularly. If I see your dog off leash on the grass I will call animal control. If you play with me you better be drinking Gatorade. I would really rather see some self policing instead of undecover patrols like SLC.
I realize the bulk of the club members are not the problem, but please spread the word as you play. _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.

This is complete curiosity - are there particular problem areas/problem holes that you can identify?
It is sad that a few disrespectful people throwing discs can ruin the game for disc golfers.

holes 1 and 8, near the shelter. the playground has been hit while occupied. heavy drinking, terrible language and a lot of dogs. no complaints about the backside.
Not being a drinker myself I don't see the necessity in actively drinking and golfing. _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.

Before we try to pour pads, let's take a good hard look at these complaints that come in and evaluate the potential need to move tee pads or entire holes. This would be a good jumping-off point for discussion at the meeting Saturday. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |
