The 2009 Discraft Ace Race is scheduled for Saturday, October 10th at Ross Park. Deadline for pre-registration was Friday, September 25th. Please see the link at the top of the page (next to the Halloween Haunt link) for more information.
I have ordered 30 player packages. From my count below, 13 have been spoken for. From here on out, it's first come, first served on October 10th.
I will be seeking additional sponsors and may ask for some help from club members.
Feel free to PM me or email me at estaats (at) gmail (dot) com if you have any questions.
Thanks to Mook for helping me get the page set up.
Let's have some fun!
Eric S.

Apparently Discraft is getting such good reviews of the prototype Ace Race disc that they went ahead and got it approved through the PDGA. So, if you participate in the 2009 Ace Race in Pocatello, you'll be able to use your disc in tourneys!
I'm going to be playing the Bengal B tees tomorrow at noon, showing a friend who's new to disc golf how to play. If anyone would like to join us, feel free. I'll be accepting any pre-registrations in person, too.
Don't forget to pre-register! More info under the Ace Race link at the top of the page.

I'll meet you at Bengal tomorrow at noon with registration $ in hand. Thanks for putting this on Eric.
Anyone who has not played in an Ace Race before should definitely come to this one. The discs never get PDGA approval during the Ace Race. Apparently, these discs are awesome. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

| Eric, I can't play at noon, but I'll swing by then to give you registration money (the State blocks the paypal website so I can't register online). |

| Eric out of curiosity how many people do you have pre-registered for the ace race. I registered on paypal and was wondering if you have gotten that info yet, or how that was worked out thanks. |

Adam -
We're up to 9 pre-registered as of today (some on-line, some in-person).
The minimum order is 15 player packages. I'm going to go ahead and order the minimum plus some extras. But for those who do not pre-register (by this Friday), it's first come, first served the day of the event.
Even if we don't get 15 pre-registered, I'm not canceling the event. I'd love it if we can account for 15 by Friday, but I'll place the order regardless.
Anyone have a good idea for # of extra player packages I should order? I've placed posters at various businesses around town.
Eric

My son has a soccer game at noon on Saturday that I'll likely step away to go to. Would anyone (or a combination of anyones) be willing to sit at the pavilion and collect score cards / hand out player packs from about 11:45 - 1:00?
If not, I'll just have to leave a sign saying I'll be back around 1.
