Awesome turn-out for this event. All Overall standings are updated as of this event. Mook, I gave you the 0.5 you asked for. Remember, your overall standing is based on your four best events _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

| Yeah thanks, I don't think I deserved anything more. Nice job on the event Kerry and Casey. I agree with you guys on the hole #15 ob line. There just shouldn't be one except for roads and beyond. I am not blaming my play on it though. All the other OB's were great. I have never sucked as bad as the day I played the Freeman Gold Course! Ahh, memories. |

Just a quick question, not sure how I got a 91 on the score for the second round? Unless I am mistaken I threw a 71 and while it still sucks, it's not a 91 (eeek).
Makes no real difference except for the shrivel of pride I have left. |

You know, MAtt, I thought 91 was a little on the high side for you. I adjusted the Overall standings accordingly. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

| maybe this has already been discussed and i haven't paid much attention. But is there some sort of bonus for the guys how play in all the tournys? If not i think there should be. Nice job to all those guys how shoot in the 50's at freeman. Wish i could do that. Freeman is a fun course but for some reason i just don't seem to play well there, regardless if i am playing in a tourny or just for practice. ARG!!!!! |

The only reward you get from playing in all of the events is that you get those extra opportunities to improve your overall score. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

| so whats the point in having more than 4 sims tournys? I put forth an effort to play in all the events and don't get anything out of it. that doesn't seem fair. Maybe a discussion before next year.? |

I agree with both of Austin and Adam, (and only partially because I have competed in all of the events).
The reward for competing in all of the events as it is currently set up is being able to drop your two lowest scores. For example in my case, had I chosen to stop after Sister City, I would have been stuck with the really poor day I had at Walcott. Instead, I can take my only slightly less crappy day at Freeman. Now this is only a difference of one point, but then again, the fact that throwing a 71 at Freeman raised my total by one point just goes to show how poorly things went at Walcott.
If we decided to change the system, it would have to be for next year. How would we propose to do it differently? (I am open to it, just curious how we would make it work?) |

I agree with Adam - there should be some incentive for playing in all the series tourneys, though it shouldn't be too significant.
Here's an example: Offer 1 (or 0.5) point for each tourney played in ONLY if the player completes a minimum of 4 events. So, currently, in Intermediate, Mooch has a 2 point lead on Adam. Mooch has played in 4 events, Adam 5. IF you went by my above statement, it would only be a 1-point deficit for Adam. If Mooch doesn't show up to Bengal and Adam does, then, no matter how Adam plays, he gets his 1 extra point for showing up and at least an additional 1 point (even if he finishes last). So, that would push Adam above Mooch in the standings.
Austin - I think you were trying to make something like this happen this year in the scoring calcs - even if you show up and throw really poorly, you get at least 1 point. Problem is, when you drop scores, that point gets dropped, too.
That make sense? Of course, this is all for next year. And, of course, I'm not the president, so this is all just my opinion
Adam - what do you think? Other opinions? Basically, it awards players that play in all events 6 bonus points. To qualify for end of year, you have to play a minimum of 4 events.
Eric

That makes sense to me Eric, and I agree that it shouldn't be more than 1pt.
The fact that you get to drop two events is or can be a huge advantage in itself.
but i haven't played in one sims this year so who cares what i think |

| Adam and I talked about this this last weekend. We talked about like 5 extra points. Not that much but enough to make a difference in a close group like intermediate. I understand the 4 top scores but if it was all scores Adam would win by alot. And yes I am on Adams side cause he and I have been friends for 20 years. |

| Five Points seems kinda execive. But what ever I say will be twisted because I am currently in the lead. But yes the fact that you can drop you two lowest scores is the reason why we have six tournaments because if you have a bad day you have the option of dropping a tournament or if you can't make it because you best friend is getting married (the reason why I didn't make it to the walcot tournament). |

| I agree with Mooch. Heck it was even my own Wedding why I missed Walcott. But it's set like a best 2 out of 3 game. Basic. But the extra points will really only seperate the top 5 players in each division really. If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the bag tags take over the year end awards instead of the SIMS ranking? |
