OK, I made a decision on the Halloween Haunt. It will be held on October 24th. We will have pre-registration and flyers ready to be put up by August 1st. Thoughts of not doing this tournament didn't go well with my stomach.
Give me your ideas here. I am always struggling to get things done earlier and smoother.
Since we exceeded capacity last year, here are some changes.
Registration fees will be higher (undetermined as of yet)
There will be one less hole
60 maximum entrants
Only pre-registration will be available.
I am hoping by having the field determined before the event that I can organize 90% of the prizes before the tournament. By lowering the holes, participants, and starting earlier will allow us to finally run a ring of fire and get folks home in a timely manner.
The one thing of concern last year was safety. The incident with the unauthorized haunters last year caused some unwanted fear and delays. I would like to have 4-5 non players who can monitor the dark side of the course for safety.
Lance, I need a permit, bathrooms, and electricity.
Austin and Matt, I need club sponsorship and discounts (whatever you can determine)
Everyone else, I need sponsorship, help putting up flyers, help setting up and taking down the course, and help running the events.

Mook,
Let me know when you have a flyer together, and I will get it done.
As far as club sponsorship I am sure that we can work something out. As far as community sponsorship, I will go beat the bushes and pester the neighbors like I did last year if that is any help.
On a personal note, I would like to provide a "dyed disc" trophy that I will custom make for each of the divisions.
Any chance for a pumpkin carving contest? |

no problem. I'll get permits and try to keep the bathroom open. Shouldn't be a problem. _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.
Good news everybody! it's a suppository. |

Mooch, if you want to learn how to be a TD, this might be a good opportunity. The guys who helped last year know the routine. Take a hole and make it your baby. I will figure out the hole decor later. I like to switch it around each year.
Thanks Lance!
Matt, dyed disc trophies would be awesome! I will be sending out another thank you letter to last years sponsors and remind them about this year as well, which should help. Last year the club sponsored $50 and club price merchandise, just to give you an idea.
And, of course we will have the pumpkin carving contest. |

| I would really like to do T-shirts in the player's pack for this years Halloween Haunt, but that means I need a sick logo! Can anyone help me out with a logo? I will let you be as creative as you want as long as its not R rated. |

| The Halloween Haunt link at the top of the page is complete (except map) for all info about the upcoming Haunt, including sponsorship and volunteer info. Also, pre-registration is now open! |
