I'd like to announce the Southeast Idaho Monthly Series! I talked to the club about this and got the go ahead to do it.
We are going to do 6 tournaments in 6 months at 6 courses here in Idaho. There will be no proactive sponsorship done for these events. Basically, whatever money comes in from registration will be paid out in money/prizes. 100 percent payout.
Team Utah does a monthly series kind of like this and the purpose is to promote competitive non stress play in the area. It doesnt matter if we have 10 or 90 people there, it will be alot of fun either way!
I know that Caleb is trying to put together a PDGA sanctioned series type that will be much more competitive than this series. Along those lines, if Caleb's tournaments happened to need to be scheduled the same weekend as the monthly series, we will have to change the date of the monthly series to accomodate his dates. So, these hopefully will be permanent dates. If anything does need to change, we will post it here as soon as we know. |

thanks brandon.
I know these things are a lot of work and you pay out everything that comes in so it is kind of thankless. Mindy and I will be sure to be at everyone when I'm not working already.
Sanctioned tournaments are great nut these events are great palces to meet, enjoy and learn.

Actually, the point of these 6 tournaments is to have alot of FUN, not alot of work, but thanks for your comments.
Derek of Boise pointed out a typo on the tournament dates. The August 21st tournament is actually August 25th. A Tuesday tournament probably wouldn't bode well. Thanks Derek!
Also, if we have the makings of a Massacre Rocks Disc Golf Course by the end of the summer, we should be able to squeeze a tournament in there as well. |

I didn't mean the mini tourneys are work, I mean it is work for you to organize and run them. I sure appreciate it.

Just wondering if the August Monthly is really on the 21st - (that's a Tuesday) or if it's supposed to be the Saturday before (the 18th).

| I will be out posting flyers to this events at all the courses involved today. Its my little road trip. I really didn't think these events would get as much hype as they already have. That is awesome!! Just to give you a glimpse. I copied 40 flyers and put them up at Ross Park last week. When I came back 4 days later, there were only 12 flyers left. Unless somebody is using them for toilet paper, it sounds like the series will be a success. |

I'll post these dates on the Garden City Flyers website as well so any Missoulians that are heading down there can play all those sweet courses that I tell them about constantly.

mook- Ross Park is out of flyers (at noon on monday 3-19) I think this is going to be great.
I shot a whopping 4 over today on 9. It was brutal. calm, sunny, perfect conditions and I hit every tree in the park. Some twice.

| I have replenished the flyers at Ross Park. Caleb did decide to use one of the monthly dates for his event. So, we moved the American Falls event to June 9th, 2007. |
