Casey told me we were helping out with the Freeman Monthly. Mindy is doing some signs that we will start hanging. Casey has already lined up some extra sponsers.
I want to set up the course in the "Freeman Gold" format. For example:
#1 Island green. Land safe or DZ
#2 Road and right OB
#4 Land safe on the basket side of the water or DZ
#6 Land safe across the walking path or DZ
#7 Land safe on basketside of walking path or DZ
#8 Path and left ob. Road and right ob.
#13 Path and left ob
#16 Island green. Land safe or DZ
#18 Mando to play right side of first pine (shoot over the road)
Voice your concerns now before I buy the rope.

| Kerry the only one I don't like is 18. But that could just be because I'm left handed. But there is my two cents |

Would make 18 tough for a lefty.
Make #3 harder for righties by stringing rop from the corner of the tee pad to the lone tree on the left then up to the leftmost pine on the hole hill. anyone that hyzers out bad is OB.
#4 re-tee until successfully across water
Could make 15 tougher with OB. run string from the tee pad to the first tree then use all trunks of the trees to force a shot into the right open field. again, any hyzer righty is bad news.
tighten 17? maybe hard enough already.
my only concern is not having enough rope! _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.
Good news everybody! it's a suppository. |

| You should fence in the ENTIRE course, rent a bunch of those Bear World bears from Rexburg, and let them cause havoc at will. It would be a HUGE handicap for me not to even HAVE a right leg. |

I would say that 18 is a bad idea for the lefty reason. I really do think Freeman is way to easy so doing all of this may make more like a real course. I was totally kidding calm down. I am not a huge fan of all the mandos and ob on a course that plays tough as is. For instance I think it would be necessary on a course like blackfoot where it is a putt putt course. I won't be able to make it to freeman so don't listen to me. _________________ See you on the course!

Kerry, I echo the points made so far. The only mando that seems too much would be 18.
What would you say to making an aerial mando on 9? Meaning, no rollers on 9. I think this may level the playing feild so that the guys who throw dirty rollers can't cheat on that hole. (HeeHee)
Mook, there is one issue with bears on the course. The mawling, growling, and overall fear that would bring would be okay, but the big problem is the vast quantities of bear droppings all over the course. We're going to have people slipping and falling... It'll just be a mess. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

You are right about the bear droppings. What we'll need to do is duct tape gallon size ziploc bags to their butts for the day. Picture that! Now that's scary!
Seriously though, the hole 18 mando is almost as crackhead as the alternate 8 basket at Ross. Here's my opinion, mandatories should only ever be played in disc golf where safety or property damage is an issue. All other mandatories are cop outs for poor disc golf course design and crackheads who want to make you throw towards cars and buildings just to make it harder. Since I am a whiner, I might as well go ahead and say, the rest sounds really challenging and fun. |

Casey,
I'll be at League tonite in IF. If you want, we can chat some after league. All we need to do is get prizes and sponsorships. Missy has all of the points and spreadsheets on an Excel file. She has offered to help keep track of scores and standings with that file, if you'd like.
I'll get you info tonite if you're going to be there. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |
