Went to provo yesterday and played. I had played part of the course long ago but never got back to it. The park is really nice, clean, had great toys, facilities and a great pond. the giant trees are awesome. the course it pretty well laid out. I'm not a big fan of mandatories and this course has at least 4 out of 15 holes. it also strongly favors RHBH. But I always think that. there is some fun elevation. I didn't find it particularly challenging as many of the drives were pretty wide open. Mindy played well and had many pars even though her drive is not super long. For me Even my weak, pathetic back hand still has a chance at par usually. even the 500 ft hole was pretty easy compared to say freeman or bengal.
strollers are pretty easy to get around except 2 places but you can detour them.
the signage is trashed and sometimes just plain wrong. they added 6 hole a while back and still haven't changed the signs. take a map provodiscgolf.com has good ones
I would definately play it again.

| The provo course certainly isnt boring but it has see a TON of changed the last 3-4 years. The entire course used to be only 9 holes in the grass area. Some holes in the grass area were removed and moved up into the weed area. This winter a couple of trees were blown down by a wind storm which made a couple of holes much easier. Also, the city required the baskets to be away from the pond so that changed another hole. Thats probably alot of good reason why the signs don't make sense. My in laws live 2 blocks away from this course so I get to play it all the time. |
