Here's the thread starting 5/11. All challenge results must be posted here.
As such, you'll notice on the Bag Tag Standings, there are a couple of tags missing. I need to know where these tags are. If you or someone you know has the 13 or 24 tag, post on here for me. Thanks. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

SO I WANTED TO POST A NOTE ABOUT GROUP CHALLENGES... I might come off as a jerk for aying this but if you are the low tag in a group challenge and you get the worst score you owe everybody there a dollar, not just 1 person.
For instance Me mooch and austin play for tags. mooch-10 me-5 and austin-1
The scores are- austin 54, mooch 55 lance 56
Austin deserves $2 for beating 2 people, one from me, one from mooch. Mooch owes lance nothing becuase the switched tags. All is well.
I think the lower tags (which I have been a few times) are getting off easy in group throw ins. Otherwise there is little motivation to throw in if you are a high tag.
That being said I'm in at lava either way. _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.

I'd throw the #9 tag in, if I were going to be in town. Bummed to miss Lava.
I agree with the $1 pay out for group challenges. Essentially, if you have a 4-person group challenge, the highest # should be prepared to fork over $3. So in a 20-person challenge, highest tag number should be prepared to shell out 19 singles.
That's worst-case scenario.

| Winner takes all. They should get the lowest tag and all the money in the pot. That is how it should be. |

No, there's no reward for the second highest tag defending in that circumstance. In essence, if you have a 20-person challenge (with numbers 1-20, for simplicity), it's essentially like 19 individual challenges for each person. Therefore, if everyone finishes in order (no tags exchanged), #1 gets $19, #2 gets $17, and so on.
Who knew our bag tag would have so much in common with going to the strip club, carrying around a wad of singles....

| How about no dollars on the large chalenges? If you are the highest tag that puts in, you win you get your tag back. You are better than the whole group..... that should be enough. Lets not make this harder than it already is. |

So, the more I'm looking at this, the more complicated this situation gets. To Lance's point, throwing your tag in a group challenge is an easy way to move tags without paying money. That is not acceptable as the rules state that any unsuccessful challenges need to pay the winner.
However, to Blake's point, we shouldn't make the low tag pay everyone for participating in a challenge. If you get more than four people in a challenge, it is going to start getting expensive.
I think there may be a way to satisfy the rule of pay out, without making anyone mortgage their homes. This may get complicated, but see if this makes sense.
Same scenario as above:
Austin #1
Casey #4
Noah #23
Mark #26
We throw tags in. Rather than challenging everyone, each tag challenges the tag directly above their own. Mark challenges Noah; Noah challenges Casey; Casey challenges Austin.
We end the round with:
Casey #1
Mark #4
Austin #23
Noah #26
The only person who lost their direct challenge was Noah, therefore, Noah owes Casey $1.
In this format, you challenge the tag directly above your own. Tags are exchanged by raw score, but cash is exchanged only by individual challenges. This way, no one loses more than $1, but the high tags have some incentive to throw tags in the pot.
Let's try that, instead of the previous plan, that will be removed from the forum to avoid confusion. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |
