Uh, my bad. Friday is my son's birthday so I will not be able to stay the night. Give my seat to someone else and we will see you Saturday morning. I will try to be playing a pre-round.

man i didn't know all the big time players are going to this tournament. By the way i would like to declare myself into this tournament and will take on any challengers for the number 1 tag!!! any challengers besides James because he is the god of Frisbee and soccer

If anyone still has the urge to go the the Treasure Valley Cup and can't stay the night. I will be leaving from Pocatello in the Highland area at 4:30am tomorrow and coming back tomorrow night. There are still 50 spots left. Call me at 339-7714

the PVDGC had a strong representation at the TVC.

here's who went and how they did-

lance- 8th advanced out of 32, could not freaknig putt. scored a monster 6 on 1 hole. in round 2 to ruin a decent round. missed 10 putts inside 25 feet. hit zero outside of 25.
mooch- somehow managed to score well despite having to play left handed, I think cashed in the middle of Int.
casey K- sort of struggled. don't know what place as he had to take off. congrats on playing advanced though.
polar bear- couldn't quite dial in the drive and turned bright red in the sun. seemed to be having fun anyhow.
mike- 3rd intermediate out of 17. picked up some girls at IHOP on friday night, realized they were 14 and had to throw them back.
jasen- beat lance and mooch in a casual round using only a beast tomahawk and a putter. can't remeber tournament place.
mook- shot about 10 strokes better in the second round than the first 12th? out of 32
james- 1 spot out of open cash, I think. hit a lot of birds, but #17 had his number.
ty- (my bro and honorary member) had fourth after round 1, until it was discovered that he really had second but doesn't know how to add. had a rough round 2 and fell to middle of the pack. not bad for his second tournament.

overall the weather was a bit windy but OK. the tournament was run oddly (again) and lasted forever. I mean forever. it started 30 minutes late and regular play wrapped up at about 3pm. (there was a 90 minute lunch break for some reason.) the top 4 adv and open played 6 bonus holes....for almost 4 hours. play all wrapped up at 8:30. then there were awards and a raffle. we left at 10:00. by the time we ate and drove home it was 2:30am.

If Lance was 8th and I regularly beat Lance then I guess I got 7th at Treasure Valley Cup this year. Big improvement from last year. How many points did I get?

you totally could have beat me sat. I'd have put you in the top 4 pretty easily if you had any sort of game that day. I played terrible. the guy in 5th was nice, but not all that amazing. never saw him throw over 320 or make any big shots. just way fewer OB than me.

I had at least 2 per round. I've never been OB in a trounament before that I can recall.

i got 7th and got $60. i swam for that boss that got wet for about 20 minutes and couldn't find it. thanks for the goggles but once stuff was sturred up they were worthless. i played like garbage with a 7 double OB on a hole. 11 birdies and almost nothing to show for it. i bailed before the end because i wanted food and didn't care about my ace pot dollar.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Brandon for being such and organized and excellent TD. He is by far the best TD I have ever had. He was ALWAYS: on time, thorough, reasonable and interesting. He struck a good balance between recognizing everyone and getting done with awards so travelers could GO HOME. the club bucks system was perfect.
You never know how good the PVDGC had it until you go somewhere else and sit for hours on end and win 6 DX stingrays.

Austin has a pretty high bar to meet, but I have faith in him.
