I just went to Ross Park because i had an hour to kill. I didn't really feel like taking it too serious, so i just played with the 06 Ace Race disc that i leave in the car. When i got to the first tee box i decided i would run the course to stay warm and keep it interesting. i played three rounds with one disc. here is what happened:
Round #1: Score-28, Time it took to play- 11min.
Round #2: Score-27, Time it took to play- 10min.
Round #3: Score-27, Time it took to play- 8min.
Final score for 3 rounds: 82
Duration of play: 29 minutes
Now i know that if i only use one disc and no one is in my way, i can shoot 3 rounds at ross in a half an hour. even if there is snow on the ground |

Looks, speed, & skill. You've got it all. When my daughter "sneezed" at you at the meeting, it's how a 3 year-old flirts.
Anyway, your post got me thinking about how I've seen others (Wendall & Troy) do speed golf at Bengal. I googled the term and found..

Someone's already got a scoring system.
Raw score + time (minutes & seconds) = total score.
So, James's scroe of 27 in 8 minutes would be a score of 35. Anyone feel like they can beat that? In theory, I would probably get a 33 in 15 minutes... 48. |

We should set up a challenge of some sort when the snow thaws. An accurate score for speed golf can not be acheived in snow. I'd give it a shot in the snow, at least to estimate a round.
Anyone interested in giving it a shot next week? I'm of the whole week and my wife will be in Mexico, so I'll have ample time available.
My only question for Mr. Locke is, what if we say that the score is in minutes, until you reach 60 minutes? At 60 minutes, your time score would become 1 for the 1 hour it took. Some of us are lazier than others, but we still want to win, even if that means twisting the rules to our favor. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |
