I don't know if anyone's actually throwing a Buzz. Lance won't be there. I'm pretty sure Mark will throw a teebird. Does anyone else throw it consistently?
I got out sunday morning and threw the front 9 at Bengal with just a roc, and ended up adding about 1 stroke to each hole (of course I'm not that good anyway). so it got me re-thinking throwing a driver.... or maybe I should switch back to the buzz just to represent. |

I have a race that starts at 9am. I do wish I could show up, say GO and walk away. That would be awesome. It doesn't finish until noon or so. I will try to make the second round at least. I would try to delegate it out but I have some ISU students helping for credit and I don't want to seem like the slacker that I am.
As for the buzzz- I don't know it puts so many bengal holes out of range for me- but it does putt well and approach well so that may even out. but in a good wind- NOGO.
I would probably throw a 170 champ wraith. it can anny, hyzer, bomb, forehand and overhand. it just can't putt.
so many choices. I have thrown the wasp a bit. nice approach disc, but no glide for me. I give up 50 feet instantly. Plus the bead OH the agony. _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.

Since there is a little bit of trash talk starting up here i'll put in my two cents.
If i'm not there to beat you all with my XCAL due to work being lame...
I'm going to say my brother Paul is going to win with his Champ Firebird
I also think Trevor White has a good chance of winning with his wraith. Thats if he shows up though
and just to make it clear thats in the I'm Good Division |

anyone that can putt with an excal is either good enough to win anywhere or needs to re-evaluate their game.
I am bordeline on destroyer. it has just a bit too much fade for a big anny. close though, close.
firebird? seriously that is crazy. again on the putting. _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.

drop in birds/ pars at ross park
drop in pars with a bird here and there at bengal
that will be enough to win (who needs to putt?) |

good answer. no putting.
That's great for all of you out there that can drive.
I personally tend to need to putt. and approach.
silly me.
I knew james would hop on that one. _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.

Just bumping this back to the top, since the tourney is tomorrow. Looks like we'll have some...interesting...weather to deal with. Ah well, I'm planning on being there, rain, snow or shine. Who else is going to be there?

I went through every hole in my head with my Destroyer and my Roc. Most the holes that I can't birdie with my Roc I wouldn't be able to birdie with my Destroyer either (except 11), so...
I will be there with my Roc and ONLY my Roc and when my Roc wins the whole thing, I want all there to bow down to my Roc. |

Prepare to feel the sting of my viper!!!
Really, Innova needs to come up with some names for their discs that appeal to someone above a 6th grader. No wonder we have difficulty getting women into the sport. |

Yeah, due to the fact that the weather is supposed to be January-esque, I may be switching to the Xcal for tomorrow. I just think that the Wasp is too slow for 20mph winds.
I response to Casey, your right about Innova. But recently, the Destroyer, the Xcal, the Boss, the Max. Theses are all grown up names. Maybe they figured out that adults play the game, too.
Looking forward to playing tomorrow. _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

The Boss and Max are grown up names, but not Destroyer or XCaliber, they sound like they are from Transformers and Sword In The Stone.
Maybe something like..the DOW JONES...now that would drive fear into adults! |

Lost Disc?
A couple of people have asked me how a lost disc would be handled in this tournament. So...
If you are really paranoid about losing your disc, you may carry a back up as long as it is same plastic/weight. Also, you must use the same one disc for all shots up until your disc is lost (no alternating between two discs).
Hope that eases anyone's anxiety. |

Well, Destroyer and Xcal are better than Skeeter and Birdie. I was basing my selections of "grown up" names on the idea that I was a grown up. I have since been corrected in my thinking. I guess if discs were truly grown up named, they'd be the Senator, the S&P, the 401k, and the Minivan. I'd still throw some of these, but only for the metaphor. (Throwing a minivan. Haha) _________________ God is happiest when His children are at play, so PLAY. |

| I still wanna be a toys-r-us Kid! Destroyer, X-cal and Wraith still work for me! Cuz if we didnt keep young in mind, we would be throwing discs named like: Hair loss, blindness and funny nursing home smell. Hahaha LOL! |
