It was a very nice evening tonight despite a bit of wind.
Here are the results:
Name, Score, Payout, Handicap
Logan, 54, $9, 0
Troy, 55, $5, -0.9
Lance, 58, $4, -3.7
Drew, 59, $3, -4.6
Wendell, 61, $0, -6.4
Mike, 64, $0, -9.2
Casey, 67, $0, -12.0
Randy, 67, $0, -12.0
Total payout was $21 (7 players X $3). The other $1 goes to end of year payout. I am thinking that end of year payout should be $1 for each time a club member that shows up to league ($1 is donated from PVDGC for each club member). Then the additional $1 payed each evening can go toward end of year point payout. Anyone know of a table that I can use to calculate points standings?
I just counted the total $ in the pot for end of year. . . I counted $13. Randy paid in $1 extra. I was assuming that Mike just played and didn't pay in. Did he pay in? That's all I can figure out here is that Mike paid in, Randy paid $1 extra, and someone else overpaid. Anyway, I'd like to just keep that $ in for the end of year pot. I'll do better in the future with this. |

Troy did a very nice job with bengal league. The weather was good for a while. Troy shot really well, basically getting a birdie on every hole that is reachable. I went bird free the whole round.
I think I made Logan nervous when we were watching the second group finish out 18. I have that effect on people.
Thanks for running this Troy. In my opinion you can do whatever you want with league and money. If you're the one doing the math and showing up every week that buys you enough votes to arbitrarily decide just about everything. I'm pretty sure you're not skimming big rolls of bills off the huge pile of money it generates. _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.

last night was brutal at times and good at times. If only I could putt....
Wwashby ran 11 holes. it was entertaining to her him yell his scores from each hole. Almost as entertaining as harassing him about foot faults. It blew, it rained, it was hot, it was cold, it was calm, it was sunny, it was dark. It was fun too. I was super tired. Everyone playe dpretty well, the wind made the scores pretty meaningless. roll the dice, throw a shot and watch it fly away! _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.

Last night was awesome. The weather changed dramatically throughout the night. Seriously, the weather was not the same for more than three holes at a time. It started off windy and cloudy, by holes 3 and 4, it calmed down a bit. Hole 6 was brutal as the wind gusted directly up the canyon wall making a long hyzer shot dicey at best. By hole 9, the weather had calmed down again, but a light drizzle began. Hole 12 is really where the rain started coming down significantly. We walked up to hole 16, and the wind almost stopped. The rain stopped, and the sun poked out of the clouds. Suddenly, it was beautiful. And that's how it ended.
It was kind of cool to experience a whole season's disc golf weather in one round. Anyway, that's my little narrative for those of you who missed it.

| I'll be there too. Bengal just tromps all over my self-confidence. I have the FEAR. Gotta get my mojo workin'. Even though my handicap is huge (egh 12?!), I wouldn't count on it impacting the results too much. I played Sunday and was still 11 over (and that probably counts some courtesty re-doos I gave myself 'cause I would never throw that bad in a tournament). |

The weather was less than perfect tonight with a lot of rain. I was very surprised by how the rain was effecting the flight of the discs. I really hadn't experienced enough rain that the discs became more unstable and it was actually pushing the height of the throws a bit lower as the disc flew. Blah, blah blah excuses for me throwing a bad round. The range of scores was pretty limited, so not a lot of points earned tonight.

I just made it to my appointment.
left my card in the 18 basket assuming you would probably get there eventually. Man, losing that disc on 15 really hurt my score on the back. being a mediocre putter really hurt my score on the front.
other than that I played well hitting some long putts on the back to save par almost all the way around.
on the front I had 3 5's in a row! I was on fire.
Another bird free round at bengal. I didn't think 13 over would cash, but........ _________________ Look at the size of that pill, I can't swallow that.

Lance,
I too was on fire last night. As I picked up my disc on 18 and took the automatic 7, I knew that the gods were smiling upon me. The heavens also opened up as I threw on 15 and only missed by about 300'! That was nothing compared to my 65' drive on 16 and the subsequent 80' appraoch shot. On 17, I had a sweet drive that nearly stayed on the same mountain range.
When I counted my score and saw that I shot a 70 for the night, I knew that I had arrived. Unfortunately, I now know that I'll have to sign up as Open in tournaments or everyone will know that I am a sandbagger. |
