club logoThe Portneuf Valley Disc Golf Club is eastern Idaho's first discgolf club. We are a non-profit community organization that welcomes members of all skill levels. We consider ISU's Bengal Ridge and Upper Ross Park to be our home courses, and we work closely with the university and city parks department on course improvement and maintenance. The club has been organized to do the following:

  1. Promote disc golf in Southeast Idaho, especially the greater Pocatello area.
  2. Encourage and assist with local course development and maintenance.
  3. Sponsor local disc golf events.
  4. Provide fellowship and an information network for all interested disc golfers.
  5. Provide additional benefits to voting members.

Current members of PVDGC receive numerous benefits each year.

  • Pride in knowing you are helping promote disc golf in south-east Idaho
  • Elegibility to attend club meetings and activities
  • Discounts on club disc golf merchandise and access to exclusive club merchandise bearing the club logo
  • Reduced fees for club sponsored events and leagues.
  • Bag Tag
  • Happiness to be associating with new and interesting people
  • Satisfaction to be able to give service

Annual membership is $20. All money generated by the club either through memberships, donations, or sales goes toward one or the other of our mission goals. (e.g. sponsorship of events, course maintenance, merchandise procurement, hosting of this website, summer leagues, and club meetings)

Ross Park League

Everyone is welcome to play any week.

Upper Ross Park Disc Golf Course

League begins play at 6:00pm, every Wednesday night (April – September)

1 Round of 18 Holes (9 holes original, 9 holes alternate teepads)

Registration is $5 per week ($3.00 to payout, $1 to Ace Pot, $1 to Overall Season Awards and Prizes)

Registration covers three aspects of league, the raw division (your regular score), the handicapped division (your score adjusted so that all playing levels can compete together), and the Closest To The Pin Contest (still sponsored by Jimmy Johns).

Prizes will be awarded each week after league in raw, handicapped, and CTP.  The CTP will be awarded with a free Jimmy Johns sandwich each week.  The raw and handicapped divisions will pay out cash to the top 30% in each division.  The raw and handicapped divisions have an additional cash bonus added to the pile.  The payout in league is usually well over 100%, but varies depending on the amount of entrants.

Overall season prizes and trophies will be awarded to all entrants who played in a minimum of 13 weeks of league, and will be awarded at the end of the season.

 Rules and Regulations

Ross Park League follows the rules of the PDGA.  Please bring a mini marker disc with you to league as all rules will be enforced.

Competitive Director Brandon “Mook” Merzlock at themook@q.com or 208-406-4451.
